Spokane Washington Looff Carousel

In Spokane, Washington there is an all-original Looff Carousel in operation in Riverfront Park. Located in the heart of downtown Spokane. It is a fun place to take the kids and have fun. There is popcorn, hotdogs, and other treats there as well for all. The carousel has been located in Spokane since it was manufactured and delivered to its original location at Natatorium Park in 1909.

The carousel is still operating in Spokane. Keeping it running and pristine has involved the hard work and devotion of many people for the last 99 years.

The carousel has 54 horses (all "jumpers"), one giraffe, one tiger and 2 chariots.

The official site for the carousel is http://spokanecarrousel.org/. It has a lot of pictures and information about the carousel.

Spokane Washington in November

Here is a picture of the pavilion located in downtown Spokane Washington. It was built for expo 1974. The USA Pavilion was built for Spokane Expo 74 and had an IMAX theater. The IMAX theater is still here and the rest of the pavilion is used as a skating rink in the winter and carnival rides in the summer. It is missing the original tent due to weather and age. The IMAX is a great place to watch movies on a 5 story screen especially 3D movies. Listings of current IMAX movies.
